"Explorers Inc: The Lost Island" is a first-person adventure game for virtual reality platforms where the player, along with a team of scientists, explores a mysterious tropical island. The game features a deep photography mechanic and environmental exploration designed to immerse the player and highlight the strengths of virtual reality. With "Explorers Inc: The Lost Island" players will get the opportunity to interact with legendary creatures and explore larger than life environments.

"Explorers Inc: The Lost Island" started as a proof of concept called "The Lost Valley VR". In "The Lost Valley VR", the player is tasked by scientists to enter the jungle and photograph the animals they encounter. After the excursion, the player's photographs are graded based on how useful they are to the scientists' research. This proof of concept was well recieved and became an official selection for IndieCade's Showcase @E3 2015. "Explorers Inc: The Lost Island" expands upon gameplay from "The Lost Valley VR" and adds environmental exploration and puzzle solving.

  • VR for Everyone: "Explorers Inc: The Lost Island" is an intuitive and accessible experience designed to be a great entry point to virtual reality. Every aspect from navigation, controls, gameplay, art direction, and UI is geared towards creating a comfortable and enjoyable virtual reality experience.
  • Animated World Brought to Life: Created by a team of game industry veterans, the audiovisual experience of "Explorers Inc: The Lost Island" is of AAA quality and optimized to run at a blazing fast frame rate. Plants and wildlife will be in constant motion in concert with world effects such as water, dust, and wind to create a living breathing world.
  • Epic Exploration and Puzzle Solving: Explore larger-than-life environments such as ancient temples and dense jungles. Solve puzzles using intuitive controls specifically made for VR.
  • Unique Photography Gameplay Mechanic: The photography system for "Explorer’s Inc: The Lost Island" is approachable but deep, featuring: a photo scoring system, photo collection, upgradeable cameras, day/night photography, and multiple paths.
  • Interact with Legendary Creatures: While exploring the Lost Island, the player will interact with creatures both real and fictional. From beautiful tropical birds to giant dinosaurs, the player will get up close and personal thanks to VR.
